The Ahrntal Valley is home to the Prettau Healthy Climate Tunnel, a health and respiratory centre deep inside the mountain at a depth of 1,100 m.

The Healthy Climate Tunnel in Prettau is a great place in which to experience an allergy-free break and breathe in pure, mild and above all pollen-free air that enables respiratory tract disease sufferers to enjoy a type of therapy that is only available under special microclimatic conditions.
